Facebook Summer

Members of Brechin Photographic Society started having fun with Facebook challenges at the start of lockdown in 2020. Since then these challenges have continued, perhaps not with the same numbers contributing, but a committed bunch of photographers have enjoyed the fortnightly challenges and find the new theme every two weeks gives an interesting, thought-provoking topic to focus on and get the creative juices flowing.

Above are the winning images in the Facebook challenges since the end of April. From the top left - Challenge 114 Springtime, 115 Happiness, 116 Summer Holiday Snaps, 117 Animals, 118 Music, 119 Red, 120 Sport, 121 Food, Drink and Party Time,

Each time the winner selects their favourite image, then that person sets a new theme for the next fortnight and picks their winning image. It's been a great way to share archive images and/or take photographs specifically for the challenge. The comments and encouragement people give each other has added to the fun.

Our latest topic, number 122 is Something Beginning with U. Although it's quite a tricky theme it has given food for thought and has already produced a set of creative and entertaining images.
