Angus Cup Success

This evening Mearns Camera Club hosted (via Zoom) the 2021 Angus Cup and John Senior Trophy. Nicola Shepherd LRPS CPAGB EFIAP from St Andrews was the judge for the evening.

Scoring overall was very high, and despite being given two 20s in the John Senior Trophy for Take Rat! by Jock Elliott and I Wanna Hold Your Hand by Ben Freeman, along with a 19 for The Joy Of Timket by Anne May, we were pipped by Mearns Camera Club by just two points overall. The total of 125/140 would be enough to win most years I suspect, but Mearns were just too strong.

Angus Cup (Digital)

After disappointment in recent years in the Angus Cup, we were this time joint winners with Mearns Camera Club, again being awarded two 20s for Safari by Iain McLachlan and Blue-tailed Damselfly by Ben Freeman (awarded best overall PDI) and a total score of 125/140.

Congratulations to all those involved, and everyone at the club for getting involved in selecting the images. Another tremendous achievement for our wee club, and the standard continues to get better and better.
