Angus Cup and John Senior Trophy 2023

A thrilling end to the 2022-23 season.

Brechin Photographic Society hosted this annual inter-club competition with Carnoustie Photo Group, Kirriemuir Photography Club and Mearns Camera Club at Brechin City Hall and on Zoom.

It was a particular pleasure to welcome the judge, Libby Smith MPAGB EFIAP HonPAGB HonSPF, Secretary and Treasurer of the Scottish Photographic Federation, to Brechin to deliver her thoughtful comments and marks.

It turned out to be another very exciting event with beautiful prints competing for the John Senior Trophy, won by Mearns CC and Brechin PS in second place. In the Angus Cup for digital images we were delighted to share first place with Kirriemuir PC who hadn’t won before.

Iain McLachlan’s jewel-like print ‘Alesund’ was awarded first equal place and Judge’s Favourite in the John Senior Trophy.
