Now the fun really starts
It's been terrific to see both returning and new members at the club over the last three weeks. Now the 'housekeeping' is out of the way, so to speak, we get down to the real business.
Over the next few weeks we have a selection of guest speakers and then the competitions kick off at the start of October.
This Tuesday, the 24th September, we welcome James Dyas Davidson to the club, to give his talk about abandoned Aberdeenshire. James's enthusiasm, quality photography and historic knowledge promise a terrific evening. I have spoken to a number of people who have heard James speak, and say his talks are enthralling. There will be no tea break during James's talk, due to the available time.
The following week, we welcome Marko Trebusak, all the way from Slovenia. Marko will be talking about Slovenian landscapes, and capturing birds in flight - two very different styles of photography, both of which he excels at. We are very lucky to have Marko coming to the club, courtesy of Dawn at Dundee Photographic Society masterminding the trip.
You might have seen some of Marko's wildlife shots, but wait until you see his landscapes!!
These are two talks not to be missed!
The week after that, we have the judging of our fist competition, so there is no time to relax yet! We have had an excellent entry (the largest number of images since I have been competition secretary), so the competition will be great.
See you all on Tuesday!
