Simon Harbord - Vintage Photography

This Tuesday we have a guest speaker, Simon Harbord, visiting us. He will speak about Wet Plate Collodion Photography, a process that he uses to take images as though it were still the 19th century.

As one of the oldest clubs in the UK, it is likely that the earliest photos taken by BPS members would have used this process, invented in 1851, although dry plate processes were introduced through the 1880s.

I'm sure it will be a fascinating evening, and we look forward to seeing as many of you as possible there.
